Im wondering why some of the re-occuring memberships show up differently in our system with different tracking codes? Do they all renew automatically?

The people who are set to never expire are all people that were "made" members. When they were made members (by editing their profile), no expiration date was set. See the screenshot at:
By contrast, when someone signs themselves up to be a member they have an expiration date. You can see that in the screenshot at:

You can then change how the system displays the page by editing the page template.
Under the liquid statement “if membership_option.auto_renew?” you’ll want to delete the code that displays the duration of the membership. You can replace it with a statement that membership has no expiration or is a lifetime membership.
