Paid MailChimp Synch option

NationBuilder is a great tool but one has to admit that it is not as mature or feature rich when it comes to bulk emailing as something like MailChimp.

I suggest NationBuilder offer a paid option which synchs with a MailChimp account (MailChimp has the API hooks). That would offer NationBuilder customers the full power of a mature bulk email tool without eating into NationBuilder’s business model.

Turf cut or advanced search or saved filter by KML or KMZ

I have KML files that define wards and neighbourhoods that I'm interested in (even municipal boundries). I'd like to be able to be able to use these KML files to identify people within specific areas. It migh work with turf cuts but turf cuts can only be saved to lists so if new people are added in that geographic area after the list is made, they get missed. Some advanced search approach would overcome this since it can be saved as a filter which (I think) should capture anyone who's been mapped even since the filter was set up (as long as they fit the filter criteria).

RSVP yes or no

As implemented RSVP appears to mean "yes" but to many people RSVP (from French <<répondez s'il vous plaît>>) actually means "please respond."

As such people who intend NOT to come may send an RSVP.

I suggest either that RSVP be made more explicitly a yes, or that something like a yes/no radio button be added for more clarity.

who to notify when...

I see that NationBuilder offers to notify leaders or staffers if someone signs a petition, but I don't see that option for when someone signs up as a volunteer. Wouldn't that option be valuable?

way to control duplicate petition entries etc

If someone signs a petition twice using different email addresses (by mistake) and we later deduplicate them, the duplicate petition signatures remain.

I suggest that this is not the most sophisticated way to manage petition lists and a way to detect duplicates and to deduplicate such entries would make petitions etc more credible.

 

duplicate address data across location buttons

Every person recorded in NationBuilder has a suite of geographic address options such as “Home”, “Billing”, “Work”, “Mailing”, “Facebook” and “Twitter.”

Please create a way for us to duplicate an address entered under one button into the fields under one or more other buttons.

Also, if an address is logged as "home" but is in fact "work" for example it would be handy to be able to change that designation without repeatedly cutting and pasting and deleting.

to stop receiving emails from this page

When someone signs a petition and gets an autoreply email it includes a link marked "to stop receiving emails from this page"

If they click it, what exacty gets changed? Under what conditions might they get emails from that page?
