Our community organization currently uses a Google groups mailing list for internal discussions. Since everyone is used to being able to reach the entire group by emailing one address, we would like to see if there is a similar feature in nationbuilder. Thanks!
NationBuilder's Mailboxes feature allows any broadcaster to receive email, as well as send it. You can set a point person, tags and a followup automatically to make sure when the broadcaster receives an email, the sender's point person knows – so the best person responds and no one is inundated with email. This is different, however, from Google's Groups feature because replies to the initial blast email will only be viewable from within the NationBuilder Control Panel — they will not be sent to everyone, as you describe above.
If your group is already heavily invested in Google Groups, you can absolutely continue to use it for internal communication after moving to NationBuilder. If you're interested in sending blast emails to your prospects and supporters, and in giving them the ability to reply and start a conversation with your organization, then NationBuilder's Mailboxes is what you're looking for.
