I saw in a help page that you recommend merging tags that are used short term (i.e. that we have "pastattendee" rather than "attendee2008" and "attendee2009.") How can we do this?

There isn't a button to automatically merge tags. Here's a few steps to achieve the same goals:
- Filter for everyone who has any of the tags currently.
- Use the 'actions' dropdown to add them to a list.
- Run a batch update to add the new tag.
- Run batch updates to remove the old tag.
We recommend making a snapshot before doing any data work like this.
