Yeah, I agree with you Edwin. The process is not as streamlined as I expect it to be. It’s interesting timing seeing your response just now as I was just testing the flow of joining as a member, going through paypal, filling out a survey for more details. And then wondering how I would access the site as there was no email sent about how to do this. Then I remembered I had to visit the login screen and go to the “Create an account” section, which seems non intuitive as I would’ve expected (as a new user) that the account would’ve been created when I joined as a member. Just the wording I guess I found confusing.

This is a poor experience for someone who just became a member. Research shows the first 8-10 seconds of the user experience is critical which is why best in class sites are increasingly eliminating barriers to account creation and shortening the activity path.

A member should be able to simply sign in using the information they shared when they purchased a membership instead of going through three separate steps (purchase membership, open auto response email, complete account activation form).
