A point person has primary responsibility for developing a relationship with a particular person. Each person in your database can be assigned to one point person. 

A control panel user’s permission set can limit the view of the People section to assigned people. This means that the control panel user must be assigned as point person in order to see particular profiles in your people database. All actions in the People section will be limited to assigned people, including filtering, households, and map view. This is a useful way to segment access to your database.
