Electorate boundaries in Australia have changed and ahead of the Federal election we've made sure boundaries in your Nation are up to date. The most recent changes were in VIC and WA and they are now up-to-date in your Nation. The changes we’ve taken into account are published by the EAC on their website.

There’s something we need you to do in your Nation to see the changes take effect.

Follow these simple steps:

  • Go to Settings > Political > Settings
  • Check the box next to "Automatically update Federal & State Districts when an address changes."
  • Click save settings
  • Leave this box unchecked for a minimum of 15 minutes
  • Check the box again and save

This is like turning a device off and back on. Your Nation will run through all of your people and their addresses and update anyone who’s electorate has changed.

Why don’t all of the people in my database have an electorate now?

Voter districts are based on exact geolocation - ie a street address in the Primary address field. If people in your database are mapped based on a broad category like postcode, suburb or city, voter districts won’t automatically update. Or if their street address is in another category like Billing Address.

You can check the mapping accuracy of your database under Settings > Database > Mapping Status.

Find out more about the electorate fields available in Australia in our documentation.

If you have any questions, get in touch with our support team via the messenger in your nation or if you’re an Enterprise customer get in touch with your Account Manager.

Happy days.
