The redirection upon sign in is a huge usability boost, and I’m glad it is finally here. Thank you.

Holy carp! 30 character email slugs is a godsend. Thank you for this.

Will NB be providing useful templates for subscribing and unsubscribing that include these explicit and granular (email, text, etc.) options? That would be helpful.

commented on Web site page drafts
When you are creating a page, yes, you can save drafts until you publish. But when changing a page, as we do with many of our pages, we cannot save a draft of those changes. Once a page is published, any changes have to be published to keep them. I’d like the ability to save drafts of existing pages. Taylor, above, indicated that this is not on the roadmap, I guess.

commented on A lot of my donors are opting out of emails. It's probably by accident. Please fix.
So, with this marked “Completed” am I to understand that changing my custom theme to a recent stock theme will fix this problem? Can someone describe for me the expected behavior now, before I go fiddle with themes? I’m especially interested in logged-out users who have an entry in the db, filling out a stock form. What does the checkbox say? What happens when the form is submitted unchecked? Checked? Is there an updated description of this feature in the online documentation somewhere? Thank you!

Specifically, I’m trying to delete, manage, otherwise deal with an enormous (800+) list of tags from an import. I’d like to delete 500 tags in one fell swoop… but I can’t. I have to go through one at a time, click the edit pencil, click delete, confirm with the button. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat… drink, drink, drink.

commented on Save locations for future use
Because the event is not repeated, just the location. Say we have an event space, and we hold parties there, and gallery openings, and educational forums, and candidate meet and greets, and some are during the day, and some are in the evening, and some are on weekends and so on. Sometimes we have the same kind of event (say an educational forum) in one of four locations we re-use. It would be nice to have those four locations saved, so I can pick which one we are using this week. I could make a master list of eight events, or sixteen so we could have each of eight events in two locations. I could hunt through the old events to find just the one I want to clone (let’s see, back in March we had a wine event at location A… but your search functionality is pretty lacking, especially with expired calendar items, and don’t get me started on how NB was designed to shoehorn different kinds of metadata into one kind of record, so events, and blog posts and web pages are all the same kind of “web page” with a few different fields…

Sorry, I’m getting a little carried away. The one thing NB does well, and the reason we use it, is the coordination of contacts and money. Other platforms (WordPress, for example) do everything else so much better, from multiple users to post types to events to everything.

A little thing like saving frequently used locations should be a slam dunk for usability, not a reason to question why a user might think they need that functionality.

Sorry if I sound pissy.

commented on NationBuilder's biggest upgrade ever
I’m sure I am not the first to point out that for an organization like ours, a small non-profit that relies on memberships, the “Organization” tier is priced higher than what we pay now, in fact it is more than twice as much. I’m afraid that your generous offer of our current price for as much as two years really only amounts to us figuring out how much time it will take us to find an alternative to Nationbuilder.
