It’s pretty unbelievable that this (a very basic function that is available in any email platform I’ve worked with before) isn’t possible. Copy/pasting is not helpful for performing extensive analytics. It’s incredibly poor practice to operate a digital program without data analytics on email, and NB makes it very difficult to perform that data analytics.

Do better.

This issue is very disappointing. The fact that editing a membership grace period does not affect people who already signed up makes it nearly impossible for us make changes to the membership after the fact. The idea of having a grace period is very nice, but terrible if it won’t apply to all members (including those already active before making the change).

This issue affects our organization’s ability to get an accurate understanding of the actual “Active” recurring donations we have in our Nation. It’s especially problematic since our memberships are supposed to be tied to recurring donations.

This is a pretty massive oversight. This is a problem for us as well.

Also, since it’s almost been 2 years since this issue was raised, maybe you folks could have added a warning to the membership setting page so that users can know that this issue exists before making changes to the membership settings.

This is a known issue to NationBuilder support as the support person that responded to my issue when I raised it just said this is the expected behaviour. Perhaps you can make the issue known to people who use your platform before we have to discover it the hard way.
