Native Floridian born in Jacksonville, Fla., Glo Smith has heeded the call of her passion for public service by running for U.S. Congress to serve the constituents in Florida's Fifth District. Today, she is a Conservative Republican whose humble beginnings in a large, low-income family, were instilled with the principles of education and hard work. She was taught the importance of serving and giving back to the community, and now she is giving the community the opportunity to vote for a better quality of life.

Glo believes in capitalism and freedom, low taxes, small government, fiscal responsibility, and a strong national defense. Glo’s campaign theme, “Restore The Dream,” emphasizes her vision for Florida’s Fifth District. She believes the 2016 election is about the Fifth District’s future. She is one who understands that everyone deserves the opportunity to achieve personal and professional prosperity. Diligence, trust, and respect are her hallmarks.

She notes that the Fifth District’s citizens’ educational, professional, and social backgrounds are diverse. Therefore, she believes this sets the stage for developing inclusive solutions to improve the economic, social, and political landscape of District 5. With a new vision - an optimal desire to reduce unemployment, increase economic development, improve education, strengthen families, reduce violence in the communities and provide quality health and mental care, Glo is poised to humbly serve the Fifth District in the U.S. Congress.
