Making User-Submitted Events Optional

How do I make user-submitted events optional, or turn off the "Host Your Own Event" button on event listings?

As long as 'allow people to host their own events' is unchecked you should be fine!

Hey Raines, could you send our support team at [email protected] a link to where this is happening? Users shouldn’t be allowed to submit events unless you’ve authorized them.

Both of our calendar pages are set not to allow user-submitted events, yet we’re still getting spam events added. Could there be somewhere else they are sneaking in?

As I’m sure you’ve found, you can turn this off by editing the calendar page, clicking “calendar” and then clicking “User submitted events”

the path will be something like

SLUG.nationbuilder.com/admin/sites/1/pages/123/calendar/user_submitted

but SLUG and “123” are specific to your nation and the page id of your calendar page
