This would be really useful for people doing lots of work in the field with devices that don’t talk directly to the NB API.

I want a lot of stuff, but this would be gamechanging for most of the groups I work with. This and A/B testing of emails.

Having something like this would be extraordinarily useful for groups that do a lot of volunteer management and/or are heavily engaged in voter mobilization work. It would also be helpful for groups that do a lot of non-electoral field work and big actions. But it is a complicated set of functionality and probably only has a limited set of initial adopters.

The biggest usefulness of this over CallFire or Advomatic or whatever is that it would be directly integrated with the NB CRM and would therefore cut the data management down quite a bit. I could see orgs get more an more comfortable with this over time, especially as they get better and better equipment distributed to their staff and key volunteers and really start to use this well.

Exporting the email metrics would be really really helpful.

This is a good response in general, but it allows for someone who has donated a different levels over time to get two email with different ask levels. It would be better to create a search condition for “largest contribution” and then create ranges based on that. Thus you can guarantee individuals only get one email and it will be at their max level.

The ability to clone emails was recently implemented and I’ve used it to my great delight twice now. Less work for me!

This is going to become even more critical as distributed organizing becomes more widespread.

NB just published a guest blog about creating a culture of testing (http://nationbuilder.com/god_knows_why_you_click). It would be great to have this implemented, so NB can facilitate its clients following the good advice they just published.

I love anything that helps foster a culture of testing, including tools like Optimizely (even though you have to know your html and css to really carry this out in NationBuilder).

I would also dearly love for NationBuilder to allow A/B testing in its eblast tool, since as you nation grows the ability to get good data from your email list and its impact on your overall work also grows.

Right now I can email about 100K ppl, but I’ve got no easy way of testing anything on that list using NationBuilder. This seems like a pretty big oversight, given the centrality of email to advocacy and electoral campaigns.
