Last week we featured NationBuilder Architect Digital Campaign Solutions (DCS) on NationBuilder Live, our daily webcasting program. DCS, which is based in Canada, builds websites and digital campaigns for progressive candidates, parties and causes. Recently, they were nominated for a Reed Award for their work on Kathleen Wynne's campaign for Ontario Liberal Party Leader, which she won last week.

Check out the YouTube video and Q&A with DCS below to learn more about what they do.

Why is NationBuilder a good fit for your business?

Digital Campaign Solutions: Our customers are typically advocacy groups and political campaigns. NationBuilder offers a set of online organizing, fundraising, and mobilization tools that you can't get anywhere else at a comparable price point, so it's perfect for the people we work with. You can build a website on a whole range of platforms and CMSs, but you aren't getting the same sort of functionality and integration as you get with NationBuilder.

What do you like best about working with NationBuilder and our customers?

DCS: Two things. First, the NationBuilder team clearly cares a great deal about their customers. We've never worked with a more responsive group of people. I can't tell you how many email exchanges I've had with NationBuilder reps at 10PM. Especially in the middle of a campaign, that's crucial. Second, NationBuilder has a sort of nimble, start-up approach to business that means they're constantly innovating and improving their service.

What's the most interesting NationBuilder website you've worked on recently?

DCS: We handled the digital work for Kathleen Wynne's campaign in Ontario. Her win made her the first openly gay leader of a Canadian Province, so that's huge. We're really proud of that and her phenomenal campaign team.

What special tips do you have for the NationBuilder audience?

DCS: Think about how to get the most of NationBuilder. It's a very powerful set of tools, but you need to consider how you're going to use them to achieve your goals before you go about building a website. That's how you're going to get the most out of us or any other company designing and developing on the NationBuilder platform.
