Kasie was able to resolve this issue, adding CSS styling to the _tables.scss file. For others experiencing issues with formatting tables, please note that most formatting of tables made in the WYSIWYG editor will not be saved. Instead, you should try adding CSS to the _tables.scss file, as Kasie did, or create the table directly in the HTML (i.e. the Template tab) and add inline CSS styling there.
