The very last step of account creation lands users on a page with an "activate account" submit button at the bottom of a form. This button lands users at the site's home page, but I'd really like it to land on that user's account settings page.
We really want them to see what information is in there and have a chance to make there public profile visible or not. Going back to the home page does not leave us a good way to suggest that people check the setting for their account.

That's a very good question. Unfortunately, it's not currently possible to customize the page to which a new supporter refreshes after completing the new account activation process.
