I set it up with Vimeo. They have an option for allowing downloads from their site directly, as well! So, no need for dropbox even.

Hey Elena, thanks for your question. I understand that you’re hoping to share videos both as streaming and a download as a gift to your members. I recommend hosting your videos on Vimeo, with the Vimeo settings on private — https://vimeo.com/ Then once you have them uploaded on Vimeo, you can embed them on your site on the page viewable to logged in users only or just logged in members only.

Just be sure that the page you link people to is only available to be viewed by logged in users or members. This can be done under the Settings tab of the page that the video appears on. There is dropdown called “Who can view this page?” and it needs to be set to either logged in users or members (depending on who you’d like to view the page). If someone were to share that link with someone who is not a member, it would prompt them to log in and would only display if they had membership credentials.

As for downloading the videos, I recommend using DropBox to hyperlink to a download. You can hyperlink to the DropBox download right on the page.
