How do I add an historically previous donation to a non supporter record, or really any record -- (thereby turning them into a supporter) -- the record was imported without the previous donation information
To apply historic donations en masse to existing signup records, you're going to want to perform a donor history import.
To ensure that the newly imported donations are applied to the people already in your database — rather than creating new people — you'll want to be sure to include a column in your CSV that is mapped to signup_nationbuilder_id (NationBuilder ID), which you can find on each person's profile within your Control Panel.
You'll also want to be sure that you include a succeeded_at record for each donation, which specifies the exact time that the donation was received. This is what will allow you to back-date the donations to their proper time.

If a person's support level is not set, actions taken in your nation will be used to guess at their support status. If you'd like a person's profile to consistently be listed as a non-supporter, you'll want to make their support level 4 of 5. This can be done by editing the profile or importing support level.
