Creating and using political capital
- In the activities tab, the defaults have been carefully calibrated to ensure that your online economy can succeed and that the value of your political capital (pc) will be worth the cost of the actions users will be taking to earn it. When editing the amounts of pc that can be earned for all of these various actions keep in mind the consequences these changes might have.
- Award pc for offline actions such as volunteering around the office by going to the political capital tab in a person's control panel profile page and hitting award capital.
- By allowing people to earn pc not just for taking a particular action, but getting others to take this action as well by bringing them to the page, you will be encouraging your recruiters to compete to be the one to bring the most people to your site.
- Let your supporters know when a competition is on through twitter or a blast email. Create a leaderboard page to let your contestants keep track of where they stand. When someone claims a prize, easily deduct the pc from their balance by going to the political capital tab in their control panel profile page.
