I want to set up a donation thermometer but have it be partially filled at the beginning. I found a website that offers instructions http://www.richiroutreach.com/blog/how-bump-your-donation-thermometer-nationbuilder but it doesn't end up looking right. Is there an easier way to do it?

That guide, from certified NationBuilder Architect Richir Outreach, lays out the process to manually fill a donation thermometer using Liquid markup.
However, if you want to avoid page template customizations, another option would be to add new or edit existing offline donations to be attributed to the donation page with the thermometer.
- Under Finances > Donations, locate the desired donation record and click the "Edit" button.
- Enter the slug of the page you want the donation to apply to in the "Page this donation was from" field and save.
