How do I add an onClick funtion to a link that I want to track in Google Analytics?

Example:

onClick="_gaq.push(['_trackEvent', 'External Links', 'Click', 'NationBuilder.com']);"

It's possible to add the necessary code for Google Analytics’ Event Tracking by manually coding it into your theme and/or page-level templates.

I try to add it to links in the “content” section of pages I’m working on, but as soon as I save the page NB removes the onClick part (as shown above) to the link.
