Define Supporter

Recently I forwarded my emails to NationBuilder. Now my dashboard is saying YES magazine is a supporter. Facebook is a supporter. Robert Reich is a supporter.

WT? What does that mean?

The best way to think of "supporter" is as someone who has opted-in to communications with your nation.

For example: Twitter followers, people who have signed up to volunteer on your website and (optionally) people who have emailed one of your broadcasters all are logged as "supporters."

For more information between the difference broadcasters, supporters, prospects and non-supporters, I'd recommend our aptly named FAQ: What is the difference between Broadcasters, Supporters, Prospects, and Non-Supporters?
