I love GivingTuesday. It’s a day when we get to intentionally shine a light on thousands of beautiful people and organizations around the world, lifting up the work that lifts us all up.

Today, we get to say thank you. To community members, volunteers, organizers, and leaders everywhere who are working to transform their communities and the world. By giving our time, money, energy, creativity, and gratitude, we get to show up for those who show up for us every day.

In addition to giving financially, there are so many ways to participate in GivingTuesday—you can see a bunch of ideas here (like surprising someone with a parade, for example!). And if you want to give thanks for an everyday leader in your life who’s helping to keep your community, organization, or family going, share their story and nominate them to be showered with some extra goodness during this giving season.

The incredible thing about GivingTuesday is that its impacts are felt far beyond just one day. All that’s given and received generates real, tangible results for people and organizations that are far-reaching and long-lasting. And the experience of community that comes from collective action and, most importantly, from collective generosity, is a gift to all of us.
