Where are the flash.message text strings stored?

Hi there!

The _flash.html template controls the text that displays in the (by default) green confirmation boxes that pop up on certain events, like a successful sign-in, donate, volunteer, etc.

For example:

Where is the text strings stored? In the example above, these text strings are:

"Welcome"

"Tell all your friends, they should join you."

"Check out Candidate. I just joined."

These exist somewhere and likely can be edited. Where are they?

The default posts can be edited within Websites > Page > Settings > Social media, as pictured below.

Lois – That message can be edited in the theme file – “_flash_share.html”. If that file is not listed, add a file by that name and it will be available to you.

I need to change the actual strings “Tell all your friends…” etc. ABOVE the text box, not just what appears in the box. I’m localizing a site for another language and these need to change.

That text lives in Settings > Social Media of the vote pledge page. You might also need to update your election settings. Go to Settings > Political > Settings and update the candidate’s name.

I found the “tell all your friends” string — It’s in _flash_share.html but even though I’ve checked every single face tweet for every page I can’t find what’s generating the “I pledged to vote for Candidate” text.
