Advance Search by Type of Contact
In advanced search, under Contact History, contact type is not a filter option.
For example, I would like to be able to search for all the people we doorknocked last week.
"Official Response"
Is it possible to implement this on all nations like it's done here for the questions and suggestions? Is it accomplished via style sheet trickery, or is there some way to designate which users' responses are flagged as "official"?
Official response from Jim GilliamYes, you found where to do that, it's "edit the suggestion" - We intend to make that a bit easier, but that's the way it works for now.
There is no "pending." There is "planned", "not planned", "considering", "started", and "completed." You don't have to use all of them, if something is never completed, it's never completed.
I could see another situation where you might want different language to refer to a legislative process, like "in committee" or something along those lines, but can you describe how you would use it? I tend to not want to let people change things like this because it just adds to complexity and if there is some way to figure out how to make it work the same for everyone it ends up being better for everyone.
Support custom URLs for donation pages
Donation integration is fantastic. However, the secure https pages redirect to the slug.nationbuilder.com address. We're using a donation page as the splash page, and the redirection in the domain name is confusing to users who are trying to make sure they're donating in the right place.
Official response from Jim Gilliam not plannedUnfortunately, this is not something we can support as these pages need to be SSL, which is why they are shown on the slug.nationbuilder.com domain. Technically the way this would have to be implemented would require us to charge a significant monthly fee, more than what NationBuilder itself cost. And I'm pretty sure almost no one would end up wanting it at that price.
Default to disable autoresponse for RSVP on expired events
I just went through and manually updated attendees for an expired event who had not previously RSVPd. The way the interface contextual help told me to do this was to manually add them as a new RSVP with the "attended" box checked. Simple enough. But then I noticed that it had sent each of these people RSVP confirmation auto responses for an event that was in the past and that they had already attended - confusing, to say the least.
Events that already happened should default to disable the autoresponse email when new RSVPs are added.
1) state_file_id is not a field option
2) unique matching should only require a nationbuilder_id
Another nice touch from a supporter side would be to rsvp for other household members on event pages.
Make sure to support arbitrary numbers of people in a household, not just two.
Ability to edit tags in call mode
It would be great to be able to add/edit tags in the call mode interface. While writing some call scripts, I have to tell people just to take notes and then process it as another step during data entry. It would be nice to be able to capture tags at the time of calls.
