The slider on the home page of http://foodday.nationbuilder.com is showing up twice - once just inside the #maincontent div (where I want it), and again inside the .inner div. Where is the second instance coming from?

Pat, the slider will appear wherever {% include “features” %} is inserted in the template. In this case, the official theme has it living in columns_1.html as well as the one you added under the layout.html file. Just remove one of them.
