Sharon – yes it’s actually the same process. You can import donations in your Finances > more > import tab – https://nationbuilder.com/import_donations As long as you have a unique identifier (usually an email address) you will be good!

You can use the field – check_number to note that it’s a check. If you need help feel free to email us at [email protected]!

I have read the articles about importing from another database but that’s not what I want to do . Is there a simple way to import just a batch of checks received in the mail using a spreadsheet instead of having to go to each individual donor’s record?

Melanie, thank you for pointing out this bug on inputting financial information. You can definitely track donations without running them through Authorize.net. That drop-down is simply showing in error and will not be connected to recording the transaction. I will work with our engineering team to update this.

When you follow the directions above, the Bank Accounts pop-up menu still shows my Authorize.net account. If I enter a Payment Type: Check, will it be reflected in my Authorize.net account? Shouldn’t there be an option to track transactions into different offline accounts, e.g. Checking, Petty Cash?
