Civicrm synchronisation

Has anyone already written code to synchronise People data between NationBuilder and a Civicrm site, using the two APIs?

We need to do that between our existing membership database and our NationBuilder site. I'd be interested to hear of any experiences from those who have already tried to do that.

    The Green Party of England and Wales is working on synchronisation between the CiviCRM and NationBuilder APIs. Who else is interested in helping write specs, write and test code?

    You’ll want a better spec. than that – synchronization is easier to spell than achieve, even if you don’t mind the z vs. s debate. For example – what does your code do if there are changes to a contact in both sources? Which one is ‘authoritative’? You also will need to support use cases where some fields aren’t used in one or the other systems, and you’ll want to ignore changes to that field, etc.

    We are using Drupal. One of our members has started working on code to synchronise the two, but has had to stop while he does paid work. Not got $500.

    Great Idea – we could maybe hire a freelancer to achieve this for $500 (best guess). Are you using Drupal and would you be interested?
