Running a campaign in Italy?  Great news - we've updated Electoral boundaries!

We have updated the shapefiles for Italy, that provide auto-districting features in your nation. More district layers have been added, and they have also been reordered according to the geographic area hierarchy.

What action do I need to take for these changes to take effect?

Follow these simple steps:

  • Log into your nation and go to Nation Settings > Political > Settings
  • Uncheck the box "Automatically update Federal & State Districts when an address changes". Click the save button.
  • Leave this box unchecked for a minimum of 15 minutes
  • Go back in, check the box again and save.

This is like turning a device off and back on. Your Nation will run through all of your people and their addresses and update anyone who’s electorate has changed. See the screenshot below for clarity.

Why don’t all of the people in my database have a district now?

Voter districts are based on exact geolocation - ie a street address in the Primary address field. If people in your database are mapped based on a broad category like postcode, suburb or city, voter districts won’t automatically update. Or if their street address is in another category such as Billing Address.

You can check the mapping accuracy of your database under Settings > Database > Mapping Status.
