Text messages have an open rate of 98%, which is significantly higher than that of emails. Yet, text messaging is a communication channel that often gets overlooked. If you’re in charge of creating a stream of communications to reach and activate your community, then text messaging is for you.
When you use text messaging with NationBuilder, your communication becomes fully interactive. You can send your supporters updates about an event, ask for more contact information or allow them to take action by typing a keyword. As of today, May 24, 2016, any nation on an Organization plan or above will receive 350 free texts a month. Texting will no longer be offered as an add-on for the Leader plan; however, if you are on Leader and using texting today, you will continue to have access.
