How do I change an incorrect Supporter back into a Prospect?

Sorry, probably a stupid question, but we have a couple records that became Supporters when we added some information about them, and they're really supposed to be Prospects. Unfortunately I'm not seeing the place where I make this change on the Edit pages for a contact. Could someone point me in the right direction?

You actually aren't able to change this in the user's profile, but it is something that can be batch updated on a list. Add the records you want to change to a list, go to the batch update function for that list, then change the 'Prospect' dropdown to yes and click the update button.

I don’t think that it actually works with a batch update, according to this article: http://nationbuilder.com/how_do_i_update_support_status

“If I batch update a list with Prospect = Yes, the following happens:

Non-supporters on the list become prospects.
Prospects on the list remain prospects.
Supporters on the list remain supporters."

Wow, really? So if someone has accidentally clicked the Supporter radio button while making other changes to a person, then saved the account, we cannot “undo” this without creating a list and running a batch update?

Andrew, batch updating prospects to supporters does require a level. I’d advise just using a 2.

Hi All, is there a way to do the Opposite of this? If I want to batch update a group of people from Prospects To Supporters, how would I do that. I don’t necessarily see a clear option for that. (I see that you can assign Supporter Levels but I don’t want to do this…just make them all generic supporters). Please advise. Thank you!
