update a person, but email has already been taken

Email address is considered unique inĀ NationBuilder. If you try to add one to a record and get this error, it means the email is already saved on another profile. You can find that profile by entering the email address in the top right box in theĀ control panel. If they are for the same person, you can merge the records instead using the 'merge duplicates' option on the profile.
