When cloning a page that has subpages attached, the new resulting page has phantom subpages as listed in the page browser (shows that there are subpages in the parentheses but in reality, there are no subpages). When adding real subpages to the newly cloned page, the subpage count shown in the page browser increments. So for example, if a page has two subpages, when it is cloned it shows that it has two subpages when looking at it in the Active Pages listing when in reality it has none. Add a subpage, and now it shows that the cloned page has three subpages when in reality it has one. Just slightly less annoying than a colleague putting too much cream in my coffee when they know I only like a little.
