Toll-Free Numbers FAQ

• Will my Toll-Free Number work with the rest of my NationBuilder features?

  Yes. It works the same as a local long code in your broadcaster for things like Call Forwarding, Text Blasts and Text Keywords.  Voicemail can be enabled for an additional fee.

• What do you mean about faster message delivery?

  Text messages from local long codes get delivered at a rate of approximately 1 message segment per second, while toll-free numbers support 3 message segments per second. 

• Why is deliverability better with a Toll-Free number?

  Phone carriers screen all inbound messages to ensure they believe them to be legitimate.  By using a Toll-Free number you’re telling the carriers to expect bulk messaging, and as a result we’ve seen carrier filtering cut by as much as 90% with some customers.  Using Toll-Free in conjunction with our Linetype Validation Service can help maximize your deliverability.

• What countries are Toll-Free numbers available in?

  Currently we offer Toll-Free numbers in Canada and the United States, but are open to exploring other countries. 

• Can I still use my current NationBuilder phone numbers?

  Yes. You can continue to use your current numbers as addition to and in conjunction with a Toll-Free number.
