I’m nominating Amber Vlangas from Connecticut – leading in Connecticut in New York. Amber is a survivor of sexual harm who is working to stop the cycle of harm. In 2020, Amber and I teamed up to create a podcast called Amplified Voices at http://amplifiedvoices.show where we talk with people impacted by the criminal legal system. I’m proud to know and collaborate with her. She’s respected by lawmakers, survivors, people who have harmed, and other advocates. She’s a veteran who continues to give back to the country all while supporting her family. She is a true leader.
